Read moreWe had a really smooth airport transfer (to and from) in a beautiful classic car. The following day I had organised a two hour driving tour followed by lunch and a waking tour. Danilo, our driver was lovely and his open top chevy was spectacular. Our tour giude throughout, Xuri, was charming and very knowledgable. She sshowed us Havana Old town and introduced us to some lovely restaurants too. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and Xuri's knowledge of the city and the history was exceptional. There wasn't a question she was unable ro answer!As for Fernando himself. What a charming person, with great english too. He answered all of my queries promptly and thoroughly, and believe me, I had a few, having never been to Cuba before. It was my first trip to Cuba and I was there for a conference. Before the start of the conference, I wanted a customized tour of Havana’s highlights in a vintage car. A good friend recommended FerTours from the great experience she had a few years back. We were picked up at my hotel in a beautiful vintage Ford and spent the entire day touring, learning, and seeing the sights. Our tour guide, Yanelis, was incredible! She was extremely knowledgeable and took such good care of us, allowing us to stop and take pictures, arranging a fabulous lunch near el cañonazo, answering our many questions, and making great dinner recommendations near the hotel. It had been my dream to visit the Buena Vista Social club and Fernando made the arrangements for dinner and the club for our large extended group! He went out of his way to make sure we had a great time! I had such a great experience, I booked another full day walking tour of Old Havana topped off with a ride in a 1953 Pontiac Convertible. Read moreI took an all day walking and car tour of Havana with my mum with Fertours - we visited on a cruise ship and while I am well travelled my mum was quite nervous. I have nothing but good things to say about the tour with our fantastic guide Gio and as organised by Fernando. Fernando was very responsive ahead of our visit which was reassuring and answered all questions promptly.On arrival, we were easily met by Gio at the meeting point near the cruise ship. It was great how flexible Gio was in order to fit our individual needs on the day itself, he was very informative and shared lots of interesting details we would never have heard on a standard group tour. He also knew when to let us simply enjoy the experience. I was grateful for his efforts to secure the Cabaret Tropicana tickets, and our visit to the Hotel Nacional was a nice additional touch to our visit, pointing out the celebrities who had eaten there and showing us the gardens. I'm aware the tour schedule was moved around to suit our needs and appreciated that.We loved the cars selected (both day and night) and Jorgino our driver and his hat! My mum's walking is also sometimes not great and Gio was sensitive to this as well, always checking we were going at the pace we wanted to move at on the walking tour. We were able to see Hemingway sights, all areas, Fusterlander and packed a lot in without feeling tired.Gio was an excellent guide, who was punctual, energetic and cared a great deal to ensure that we were enjoying the tour. Read moreWe booked a few different trips around Cuba with Fertours in November and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. We organised airport transfers, a classic car tour around Havana, a trip to Viñales and transfers to and from Trinidad. Fernando always replied to our emails quickly and was so flexible when we were booking – he let us choose exactly what we wanted to do. All of our drivers Jorge, Rodolfo and Yoel arrived early and waited patiently outside for us. They were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were also really impressed with Luis, our English speaking guide who accompanied us on the Havana and Viñales tours. He taught us so much about the history of Cuba as well as showing us the most popular landmarks and hidden gems like the beautiful forest in Havana.If you’re booking a trip, definitely book with Fertours! Our group loved her personality especially her sense of humour. She provided us with a wealth of information on Cuba as well as information that helped make our personal trip more enjoyable. We loved the personalized tour with an English speaking guide - it made everything so easy! A shout out also goes to our awesome driver Josef ( not sure if that spelling is correct) who was patient with all of our requests! Thank you Fernando for your recommendation on Habana 61 restaurant - the staff and food were amazing, as well as the Margarita's !! We cannot wait to go back and experience some more Cuban culture with Yacmel. We will definitely recommend FerTours and Yacmel anytime we can. Read more4 of us enjoyed 2 trips with Fertours, our first trip was a short tour of Havana in a beautiful pink convertible car with the lovely Michael as our guide and then a trip later in the week to the Bay of Pigs with the equally enjoyable Jacmel. Fernando answered my emails promptly which is always a good selling point for me, he was accommodating and everything was as discussed.
